Youth Speaking Out For Other Youth And Creating Change!

C.A.S.T stands for Children’s Aid Society Teens. We are a group of youth ranging in age from 14- 21 years of age, and we even have some members that have aged out of care that help us out from time to time. Our main job is to “advocate” (speak up) on the behalf of youth in care across the city of Ottawa, Ontario. We even have connections with National networks for youth in care all over Canada. We are involved in plenty of activities that help us use our voices, be heard and listened to as we aim to improve the quality of care and the life experiences of youth that live in the care of the CAS.

 When do we meet?

We meet every second Wednesday to discuss issues affecting youth in care and we look for ways the CAS can help us solve these issues. We meet in the Youth Room downstairs at the CAS, called My Place. Our meetings are listed on the Calendar of Events.
