Foster/Adopt a Snow Angel
02/21/2011On Monday February 21, 2011 the Children's Aid Society, will be holding the fourth annual "Foster/Adopt a Snow Angel" event. Held on Parliament Hill on "Ontario Family Day", families of all kinds are invited to come and make colorful snow angels from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Each snow angel will represent a child in the care of the Children’s Aid Society in Eastern Ontario.
On any given day, there are over 3,200 children and youth in care in eastern Ontario. When it is necessary for these children to come into care, they need families to help, understand and care for them. Whether it is for a short period of time or for a lifetime, connecting with a family provides life changing experiences and outcomes.
Through this event, it is our hope that more families will come forward to help care for children and youth in care. The safety and well being of children and youth is everyone's responsibility.
